The Windup Girl
by
"A dystopic version of the future where we have destroyed our natural resources through over population, overuse of gas/oil reserves, genetic engineering of foods and overuse of pesticides. It's an interesting observation of what the future may turn out to be and where technology may go."

I Am Legend and Other Stories
by
"I am Legend is the highlight here, but the other short stories are also interesting. I Am Legend being a post-apocalypse, vampire/zombie story where the main character is pretty much the only natural human left alive."

The Time Machine
by
"The fall of man or the reversal of all cultural advancement thousands of years into the future is always interesting to read about. Especially from the perspective of someone who lived int eh 19th/20th centuries."

Ready Player One (Ready Player One, #1)
by
"Over population and a heavy reliance upon gas/oil leading to world wide economic collapse which then forces people to retreat to the world of video games in order to "live." There's at least a better ending than most such stories."
