"Written in dialect, takes some getting used to. Oh and did I mention it`s very long, and feels longer when you`re trying to make sense of the damn thing. It`s a wild ride, bring food."

"Burroughs` unique writing style and the nature of his descriptions make for an intense reading experience. Not for the squeamish or faint of heart. "

The Idiot

"The most difficult thing about The Idiot is seeing the main character,Prince Myshkin get manipulated and betrayed by everyone he knows because he is naive and trusting of everyone and only sees the good in people. The dialogue is exceptional, the characters are dynamic and believable, the plot is epic with many unexpected twists. Great book!"

Crime and Punishment

"I recommend reading this book in the dead of winter, with a candle and rye bread with salt sprinkled on it. It took me three tries to get past the first few pages; it was too much to handle, too grim I had to prepare myself and read it at the right time. I found an old edition of it and read it in St. Petersburg, Russia, the very place where it was written. It was a very powerful experience. I believe that Crime and Punishment is one of the highest achievements of literature. Dostoyevsky`s ability to dissect the minds of his character`s with surgical precision is phenomenal. I highly recommend this book."

In the Labyrinth

"The title is a fitting description of of the way you will feel within a few paragraphs. His writing style is highly evolved, his techniques for creating a story that is both impossible yet very much alive. The story is not told chronologically. The whole book feels like it`s inside out, it swallow you in. The descriptions are beautifully crafted and the book is very much alive. This book is a great way to stretch your brain in new ways. "
