She is 10. When I saw the ads for the movie Coraline I KNEW I had to see the movie. It's a great movie for us, as it explores the sometimes messy mother-daughter relationship.
I can understand what you mean. Has she read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory " or anything by Shel Silverstein?
Mmm. No. I don't think so. She has read some Roald Dahl (and of course we've seen the version of "Charlie" with Johnny Depp).
Please introduce Shel Silverstein to her.Where the Sidewalk Ends and The Giving Tree are his two famous books.
I'm pretty sure her school has a copy of "Sidewalk" - I'll encourage her to look for it in the school library. Thank you.
The poems are very funny. I hope she likes it.And by the way, I have noticed that in goodreads we generally forget to ask the most important question of all-- how are you?
Oh I'm great, thanks. It's a beautiful, cool Monday morning here in Canada. We'd been having a spate of very humid weather, and now we're getting a break from that.
