A Dangerous Low (Dangerous Low Series, #1)
by
"I added this book because I believe that it captures the frantic calamity a person may suffer through when they believe that their family is in immediate danger and asks the question of how low we will sink to secure our lives and keep them as they are. (full disclosure, it is my own book)"

A Negotiation of Wounds (Negotiation Series, #1
by
"I chose this book because I believe it handles the problem of secrets and lies in a marriage in a unique way. It deals with the power struggle that we go through not just in marriage but in life when things slowly become nothing like what we desire and we are forced to sink lower and lower into doing acts we may not be morally comfortable with. (again full disclosure, it is my own book)"

The Andromeda Strain (Andromeda, #1)
by
"It is just an all-around good thriller. I believe that though it has heavy sci-fi elements to it, the pressure and time crunch under which humans are put under once they have the "infection" keeps you on the edge of your seat while reading it. "

Intensity
by
"When I first read this thriller, I couldn't put it down. The title is trully well-chosen as every word of the book inches you closer to asking yourself what will happen next (an oft-repeated query). While it is more in the horror genre, it calls many scenes of Breaking Bad back to mind as Chyna tries a daring escape from the villain."

The Pawn (The Patrick Bowers Files, #1)
by
"Frankly, I love all of these Steven James books in the series. I think that the pursuit of serial killers by not just Detective Bower but other serial killers is an edge of your seat thrill-ride. This reminds me of Breaking Bad in the connectivity of each book with the next and how closely everyone is to evil."
