"Left me with the joy of researching out these characters and the painter's art pieces. This author made this story so real, it could be seen for what it was long ago. The family life, the inner workings of housekeeping..no small chore when so many babies were born. I appreciate the research more than anything when reading historical fiction. Descriptions are the next best thing to being there"
