Do you know, I've never read anything by Iris Murdoch. For no reason I can give, I just don't fancy her!

I would probably like her if I gave her a chance. There are some writers that I always ignore possibly, in the absence of a better reason, just because I don't like their names! Others are Picoult, Bainbridge, Hislop, Susan Lewis... Maybe their books just have horrible covers.
