I'm surprised to find so many people found Anna Karenina almost unreadable - I thought I was the only one. I did manage to finish reading it though so I couldn't vote for it technically.

I started it when I was in high school and read at least 2/3 of it, but then I gave up. Now I'm upset, because I was so close to finishing it! I want to try again, someday, but I definitely found it difficult to read.

The one with Keira Knightley? I saw it and really liked it! Very original and peculiar.

I haven't seen that version Elena but I'm looking forward to watching it someday.
I watched the miniseries on PBS way back in the 70's with Francesca Annis I believe. You might could find it on youtube.
