The book that made her a publishing phenonium and her true homage to the slippery morality that exists within the cesspool of Hollywood." See Review |

L.A. Connections (L.A. Connections, #1-4)
by
"The most enjoyed prologue of a Jackie Collins novel there ever was. Climaxing on someone's head as they're drowning is quite a hard sex scene to beat. Also introduces the crazy fun Madison who features in sequels that are delicious in a 24 hour sitting."

The Santangelos (Lucky Santangelo, #10)
by
"Her last and a particularly enjoyable -if bittersweet - endnote for her fans. Here she managed to throw in the modern touches that so defined her ability to stay top of the game - i.e., Uber and Grindr. She also manages to have Lucky stay very much a girl on top. 5 star fun."

The Love Killers

"A very early work that stands the test of time. A gangster kills a girlfriend, so her three female friends make sure to get even. Deliciously fuses sex, female enpowerment and revenge. One you can read and deavour in hours. "

Lucky (Lucky Santangelo, #2)
by
"Of course this had to make at least the top half of the chart. Lucky carries on from the seven decade long beginnings of the Santangelos, charted in Chances. Starts with a courtcase and our girl Lucky on trial. Features a lot of scenes around Europe and gives a great deal of bang to the buck. "

Hollywood Kids (Hollywood Series, #3)
by
"The opening pages with the security guard who worships Steven Seagle - rarely laughed so much. Her Hollywood Kids novel is a great GREAT expose of the nepotism in Hollywood and the culture of entitlement. Basically sums up why we have people like the Kardashians, even if we never wanted them. Delicious."

The World Is Full of Divorced Women
by
"Arguably not one of her best but definitely a novel with some grade A+ scenes and 'The Girl with the Golden Snatch' really takes a lot to beat (again, Jackie on the pulse with the porno chic/Deepthroat context). The opening entry about the wife not knowing her husband was into big tits in the letter was a touch of genius too. Short and sinfully sexy."

Drop Dead Beautiful (Lucky Santangelo, #6)

Adrian

This wasn't an invitation, this was a threat.' A stupendous novel regarding Jackie's first family. The relationship with the Mexican gardener and the bored wife of the chief gangster again demonstrates how well Jackie understands desire and passion. The nearest character to Shirley Valentine and I loved every page of her story." See Review |

The World is Full of Married Men
by
"Because it was Jackie's first I've given this quick slip of the novel some reverence within this chart. The weird sex scene where everyone was watching the young it-girl in the novel having sex showed that this author had some wacky ways of showing us people's weird kinks. Obviously called revolting by Cartland too, so that's gotta be a good thing for the novel. "

Vendetta: Lucky's Revenge (Lucky Santangelo, #4)
by
"The very very enjoyable continuation of the Santangelos story in which Lennie Golden may or may not have been killed by a female rival of Lucky's and a stone-hard bitch. Great direction for the saga and some of her best work in regards grief and... you guessed it, revenge."

Lethal Seduction (Madison Castelli #1)

"Madison in action as she balances career & personal life and a very sexy bored female who's very good at the sexy stuff (think public sex in office buildings etc)has a fiendish way of bumping off her devoted husband. Stellar ending with plenty of strong climaxes. "

Married Lovers
by
"Deserves a hell of a lot of respect for the excellent Eastern European scenes and the particularly excellent moment when Anya, watching Sex and the City decides that if she wants to be a slut than she'll be a slut like the whores in Sex and the City. Jackie, you crack me, love!"

Hollywood Wives - The New Generation (Hollywood Series, #4)
by
"One of her most well-known novels that actually got made into a film with fellow established stars. Excellent but not quite as iconic as Jackie's original Hollywood Wives tome (I think it was the Elaine Conti's stealing that swung it for me. That or Hudson's 'incest' plot). "

Hollywood Divorces (Hollywood Series, #5)
by
"I still chuckle thinking over the two recurring incidences in this book - one actress showing her breasts in a movie (which pushes her husband over the edge and becomes akin to her cheating on him with every male audience member) and a character who got her start in the flicks by assisting (read as servicing) the studio head honcho. Fairly light faire for Jackie but heaps of fun."

Lady Boss (Lucky Santangelo, #3)
by
"I admit this should be higher but, hey! There's some real classics in this chart. In this third outing for Lucky she becomes the boss of a movie studio, becomes BFFs with Venus and kicks some ass again. When Lucky becomes an undercover secretary you realise Jackie channels every single fibre of her being into creating the protagonist she'd love to be best friends with."

Lovers & Players

"Vicious family saga of Big Red and his children struggling to be successful on their own terms. The Lady Jane character is a pantomine villain of OTT proportions and the ensemble cast make this a suitably witty laugh out loud book that is designed to entertain on every page."

Dangerous Kiss (Lucky Santangelo, #5)
by
"A Goodreads reviewer: It was great to see Lucky again but the book was too drawn out. The back story on some of the characters was tedious which made the book longer than necessary. Ms Collins fluffed the book a little too much.

The Stud (Fontaine Khaled, #1)
by
"In some ways, hysterical writing where the character is made out to be a brainless love machine. In other ways, her most dated novel about a man who basically screws around with a rich married woman. Famously made into the most successful adaptation of a Collins novel featuring her sister (with receipts so good Joan reportedly begged Jackie to produce a sequel stat and J acquiesced pretty quickly. That novel is actually lower than this effort on this chart)
Adrian
rated it 3 stars
A Goodreads reviewer put it quite well: Not my favorite by far. You have to remember this book was written in the late 60's and so back then this was a book full of freaky sex. Those things are common now. Terribly worthwhile to read though, chums." See Review |

Deadly Embrace (Madison Castelli #2)
by
"Actually an excellent book. I just didn't notice it from my lucky dip of Jackie Collins novels. We'd (if you've read this far) say this is actually 26th on the chart. In this finale for Madison she is gunned down in a restaurant when she's just got to LA LA Land - very much a Jackie Collins novel with her 'majorly busy' characters. Taut tension and lots of great, zesty dialogue. Perfection as usual."

Confessions of a Wild Child (Lucky Santangelo, #9)
by
"I feel incredibly guilty putting this where I have so let me take a Goodreads reviewer's narrative instead: This was probably my most anticipated book of 2013, and I'm disappointed to say that it fell short of my expectations. So why the five stars? Well I am loath to give a Jackie Collins book below four stars and I definitely do not want to give a book that feature her best creation less than five stars. I did love the book however it was very much a case of 'been there, done that' after having already read all the previous Santangelo books.

The Bitch (Fontaine Khaled, #2)
