Ok gang, you know what I'm talking about here. Those trashy books that you're ashamed to admit you really got into - nay, that you actually LOVED!
But why stop with trashy novels when there's all those sleazy movie stars tell all books to vote for? So go ahead and add all those books about trashy actors/rock stars/ anyone in the entertainment field and let the world know what bad taste you have!
So gather your courage and admit to reading certain books that are so trashy you couldn't put it down. I dare you!

That's right, I gave Flowers in the Attic 5 stars and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I read a lot of them, too. I think some people may have misinterpreted the theme. How did Pillars of the Earth make it onto this list?
Hi Lauri, I read Pillars of the Earth and in my humble opinion it was pure trash but feel free to disagree.
Hmmm, "Savage Surrender"? That title promises a book filled with pure trash! Y'all keep up the good work :D
Can't help much here. I have read only one book on this list and I wouldn't even call it trashy. (-:
Terelyn wrote: "You missed the Ultimate Trashy Novel: Forever Amber."You're a jewel Terelyn - how could I forget Amber?
Keep up the good work!
Almost 2 full pages of trash so far, can we make it to 3 pages?Keep up the good work and don't forget to check back and vote for the newly added Best Trashy Novels!
I'm sure Forever Amber deserved a lot more votes than one...
You are funny Laurie! How do I reconcile "best" and "trashy"? are we looking for the most trashy novel or a trashy novel that is actually good? (-:
Thanks Gita, I think if it's trashy it belongs on this list so don't hesitate to add any 1 star trash you could barely finish. If it's that darn trashy discerning readers everywhere should be warned before potentially wasting money on it. So don't be shy about discussing whether certain books were trash or not either as a few might be open to discussion. My trash might not be the same as your trash in other words.
Who can deny that Forever Amber was so much fun to read but was it really edifying in any way? Other than great coverage of the bubonic plague Forever Amber has to be in the top 10 of Best Trashy Books.
Ding! Ding! Ding! we have a winner with Here Kitty, Kitty.I nearly died laughing reading this synopsis. Please tell me nobody actually forked over their hard earned money to read this trash :D

Yeah, I read the synopsis. It sounds so awful I almost want to order it. Almost. :-)
Terelyn wrote: "You missed the Ultimate Trashy Novel: Forever Amber."You are right but did anyone add Peyton Place? I never read it but I think its probably number one for trash from what I heard. I don't think Twilight is trashy as there is no bad language and they behave themselves which you can't say for the protagonists of most trashy novels. Most of them are very naughty.
What defines a "trashy book?" Help me, ladies, I'm just a girl, naive in the ways of the publishing world.
Odd to see some of the books on this list. My definition of 'trashy' is 'of inferior quality' but it seems many others go for 'indecent', which, in my opinion, none of the titles I noticed are, by the way.Although the one doesn't necessarily exclude the other, of course.
@Rosa
Seems you have a choice here :-)

You will notice I named my list The Best Trashy novels. So if you consider a book trashy, feel free to add it whether good or bad trashy in your opinion.
Even "Pillars of the Earth" was trashy to a few people although the author is much esteemed.
So I hope you enjoyed yourself whilst voting on my list :D
I just found your email so I'm so sorry for being so late replying to it.
Some of these titles are so bad I can't stop laughing but Disco Blood Bath is in a class of its own!

That is so hilarious! Thanks for voting :D
I don’t read “trashy” books. Just not my thing. Based on this list of books though I did read Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews and it was just plain creepy.

Whoa! I hate to admit it but I would probably have to read this one.
