"A riveting, quick read that gave me a lot of insight into how Jack Ma pulled off the largest IPO ever and built the behemoth Alibaba Group, the Chinese e-commerce company larger than Amazon and eBay."

The Art of SEO: Mastering Search Engine Optimization
by
"There’s really only one book that I highly recommend on the subject of SEO. It’s quite comprehensive and fairly easy to digest. It’s a rather large read, at 716 pages, but there are some technical parts that you can skip over. It was published in March 2012, so there are a few outdated things, but on the whole its a great introduction to SEO."

Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics
by
"This book gets much deeper in the weeds about Google Analytics. If you can handle it, its really helpful for understanding on a more comprehensive level how GA works, and how to do more advanced applications, and more importantly, why analytics is so important – namely, that you can give data-driven answers to your marketing decisions."

Pull: The Power of the Semantic Web to Transform Your Business
by
"Although written in 2009 so its a little outdated, this is still a powerful, forward-thinking book about how the semantic web (and, most relevant to SEO, semantic search) will transform business as we know it. This book makes me excited about the advancements in tech that will make our lives, supply chains, and the flow of information much more efficient once we migrate to “semantic” or structured language."

Global Search Engine Marketing: Fine-Tuning Your International Search Engine Results
by
"A useful read for giving a good overview of how different countries search and interact online, and the cultural considerations needed in order to succeed in entering those markets. Very comprehensive, but unfortunately already outdated (most data is from 2011 or earlier) and in need of a updated edition."

Excel 2010 Bible
by
"Any good online marketer needs to know how to throw a pivot chart together in Excel, and this is the best book on Excel that I’ve read. There are others that are aimed at more advanced readers, or more amateurs, but this one aims for the intermediate level reader."
