"This is a true story about young girls with cerebral palsy who wanted to be ballerinas. A physical therapist created a ballet class for the girls. The girls worked hard and performed in a recital complete with makeup and costumes. The text in this book is at the 5th grade level but the actual photographs in the book capture the girls’ anticipation, dedication, and excitement of their dreams to become ballerinas. It may be worthwhile to rewrite the text to an easier level for beginning readers.
