Jesse I love "into the silent land" what a great book; a mix of fiction, memoir, and science writing all relevant to the field of neuropsychology. that last story in the book has never left me. the idea of what makes a person unique and indivisible - is it just you memories, or brain information? or is it YOU. it really hits an emotional key and reaches toward that ineffable feeling of self. glad to see another fan!

Joshua Nomen-Mutatio Awesome! You're the only person I know, aside from myself, who's read this. I wish Broks would publish more of this kind of thing. He's probably busy doing all that prestigious scientific research and lecturing.

Jimmy Cline I also adored that book. It's such a good introduction to popular cognitive science writing. Broks and Ramachandran make the brain seem like an intellectual playground. Fuggin' awesome book.
