"Geof Darrow
The American Ligne-Claire Genius, and the most stunning example of hyper-violent comic-book insanity. Created in 1991, and still the high-watermark for artistic ambition. This is the B&W 12" x 16" 'Artist's Edition', 2 decades before AE's became a thing in the US. Thanks, Dark Horse."

"J.H, Williams III
Promethea was stunning.
Batwoman: Elegy was brilliant.
Sandman: Overture is genius. The Absolute Edition includes a deluxe oversized presentation that befits the material, and made me very happy by including a second 'Artist's Edition' that reprints the original, uncolored art. A full-size 'Gallery Edition' is also forth-coming, and this is so fucking good, I'm going to buy that too."

"JHW3, Gene Ha, Art Fucking Adams. The issue of Promethea shows off the title that opened a door in the skull of JHW3, an opportunity to access his potential for artistic brilliance that occasionally turns up in collaborative comics "

"Quitely. Manara. Prado. Russell. Amano. Kristiansen.
Endless Nights is an artistic supernova, and Amano's painted illustrations for 'The Dream Hunters' are among the best he's ever done."

This is the book that shows Miller at his artistic height. It's a brief display of his wonky prowess, but it's brilliant."

"Fiona Staples
This book was so universally praised I avoided it as long as possible, & half-hoped it was shit. Nope. Not even a little. Vaughn might suck as a TV writer, and the compromises of film might absolve him of his sins on 'Under the Dome'. But he came back to comics better than ever, and choosing Fiona Staples for his creative partner on Saga undeniably made this the instant classic it became."
