Katy Walters Hi Mimi I see you've won some great awards for your Pararnormal. I too am writing Paranormal spanning two centuries and also just finished a SciFi which is being published on July 4th. I have been struggling to build a website and thankfully it is now nearly finished. :))
Dolet me know what info you would like.

Best.

Mimi Barbour Hi again.
Please let me know as soon as your work is published. Who is your publisher? I love paranormal time travel and read lots of historicals also.
Good luck with the website...Wuss that I am, I went with a webnmistress and left all the frustration in her hands. Send me your link when it's up and running.

Katy Walters Hi Mimi. Thank you. It is nearly finished. Sighs of relief. I shall send you the link when it is ready. Thank you. The publisher is a new company called Dam Good Publishing : http://www.onlinefantasybooks.com
Where can I find your books? I have a Kindle as well.

Best Katy.xx

Mimi Barbour Are you serious? - Dam Good Publishing? How can you lose with a name like that?
Looking forward to seeing reading it.
For my books, just type in my name Mimi Barbour in your Kindle (in the book store area) and all three stories will show up.
Take care...

Katy Walters I look forward to that Mimi. I am just readng Simon's Choice which is being promoted on Night Reading. It's good.

Best,

Mimi Barbour Simon's Choice....what's it about? I love a good mystery, of course any kind of romance, but I have to admit to liking books with a bit of humour in them.

Mimi Barbour Ooopppss!! forgot to send some hugs...should be shot!
My mind's wackly today.

Katy Walters Hugs back. It is not usually the kind of book I would choose as I usually shy away from any sadness about children but it was highly recommended. It is about a child suffering from Leukemia and the choices her father as a G.P. has to make. It is sensitively written with good structure and a fairly engaging narrative voice but it is a heartbreaker. The author really knows her area.

Mimi Barbour Okay...will put it on my to-read list. If it's sernsitive to the issues, I'll consider it a learning experience and heaven knows, I can certainly learn more about the sicknesses that plague others.
Thanks Katy..

Katy Walters My pleasure. :))

Still grinding away at the website, seems all my pictures took too many pixels, anyway that's now been remedied.

Best,

Mimi Barbour I just checked the website again that you showed above - the online fantasy address and saw a cover for a book for a Katy Dawn I believe. Is that you? If so, the cover looks great. Send me your website address once it's finished so I can visit you there and check it out.

Katy Walters Yes. It's Katy Walters - 'Phobic Dawn'. I'm so glad you like the book cover. If you like there is a book trailer, just Google http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2nKYA...

Or 'YouTube Katy Walters Phobic Dawn'

Just doing the finishing touches now. Gosh it takes so much patience and I am not really patient. :))

Now off to bed to read my beloved Kindle.

Mimi Barbour Wow, what a cool trailer! Now I want to read the book even more. You must be dying having to wait until July. But there is lots of promo work that can be done before then and a website is probably the priority, so good luck with it.
If you come up with some good promo sites that are well visited, let me know and I'll do the same for you.
Take care...

Katy Walters Hi Mimi. I will do that. At present I am only just begining but I expect you know about Night Reading and Book Bogs,

There's the writer's site Authonomy which I now belong to only as a reader. Then there's Slush Pile Reader again a writing site and YouWriteOn another writing site. I am on Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon and Reddit, Digg etc. also CreateSpace and Google. I have a bar on the Master Page with all these on.

I have not done much work promoting as I am working on getting the site up then I will really crack on.

There is the Twitter column on my website along with Book Blogs and Good Reads. Also another one Shareit or Sharejit. I can't join the latter until I have a website as they need a working URL.

I have also embedded a Shout Box so there is some interaction on the site with Twitter and
also another comment box. :))
I shall let you know about any others I come across as the weeks go on.

Just off to bed now to finish Simon's Choice and find yours.

Best,
Katy.xx

Mimi Barbour Wow,
You have kept busy. Thanks so much for sharing. I've been pretty active in sites such as All Romance, Romance Reviews, Coffee Time Romance and Romance Divas. Some of the sites have cost me money but I know they have a lot of traffic. I've been trying to blog as much as I can as a guest because I don't have my own blog - I was told by my webmistress to set up a newsletter instead. Now I'm a bit sorry but there are free blog sites that I can look into using - once I get myself enough time to check them out. I've also sent both books to be advertised in Romance Sells which costs $200 but it's the magazine that is used by bookstores and librarians to choose their stock from - so I figure it's worth it!!! Maybe!! I did send in The Vicarage Bench for review by RT magazine and ended up with a 4 star rating and since that's a huge magazine in our business ( at least on this side of the ocean) I was thrilled since the highest is only 41/2.
Opps hubby's calling me to eat...gotta go.
Talk soom...

Katy Walters HI Mimi, Just been working hard with the copyediting checking it out for publisher so I did not see your email. I shall go and have a look at the sites. One of my books is a Paranormal Romance so it might fit. I have just started 'She's Me' and am thoroughly enjoying it - engrossed.
Am looking forward to reading more tonight.

Best, Katy.xx

Mimi Barbour Thanks so much - I love it when someone tells me they've enjoyed my work - makes it worthwhile. Please give it a review on Goodreads when you're finish - it might encourage others to read it also.
Good luck with the edits.
Going to check over the sites you suggested this week and let you know which ones I sign up for.
Take care...
Mimi xoxo
