A Discovery of Witches (All Souls, #1)
by
"This series sets the tone of the season! The crisp fall mornings spent on Oxford's campus before meeting a supernatural cast of characters is the perfect way to kick off autumn. I started reading in late August/early September and the timing was perfect."

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane (The Physick Book, #1)
by
"Although part of the book takes place in summer, the story is set in the Marblehead/Salem area. The location, card catalog libraries and witchy vibes make this a perfect spooky season read. This is the book I lend out to my friends in September."

"Love this story, I personally read during March and like that timing, but I also feel as though the feeling the characters bring can work well during autumn."

The Ex Hex (The Ex Hex, #1)
by
"I have a lot of thoughts about the book, but the atmosphere is perfect. I actually read while in Wales - doesn't capture the real life spirit of the country in October, but it does capture the full feeling of American fall festivals and spooky vibes!"

Midnight Sun (The Twilight Saga, #5)
by
"If your friend group was obsessed with Twilight in high school and now you are in your 30's it is just a fun read. My book club read this as a joke but I ended up liking it. Edward's perspective and his vampire family is a lot more dynamic and entertaining than Bella's perspective in Twilight."

The Lost Apothecary

"Just the right amount of lore, poison, and murder mystery for the season. A good story with elements of spooky season without being outright spooky. Great collective feminine rage story."
