Marty, to which book do you refer? Are you concerned that one of the nominations doesn't fit the poll? (Just in general, science fantasy is "a thing", so off the top of my head I can definitely think of one subgenre of sf that has magic. Also, any sf where the magic is technologically-based or facilitated can qualify.)
