I wish I could vote twice. I own a copy of Behold the Man, but would be delighted to read Oryx and Crake or Kindred. Not sure I have the time for a reread, but The Left Hand of Darkness is transcendent. Reading it made me feel like a changed person. We have some absolutely magnificent choices this month and it's hard to see where we can go wrong. This is a true literary feast we have assembled, and I'd love to see the selections not chosen roll over. This month looks like my to-read list: fantastic literary sci-fi! I'm so excited to be in this group!

And it's great to have you on board! I was thinking that the runner-up choice could be a second group read so that anybody who isn't keen on the winning choice would have an alternative.

Good idea to have a runner-up choice as there are a number of books on that list I'd like to read. Makes choosing just one really difficult. So many good books, so little time for reading ...

OK. We'll do that then. Last year, I used an online calculator to determine how long it would take me to read the books on my TBR shelf - over a hundred years! :O And that shelf has grown since - it's clearly an aspirational list!
