Allie Hayden-Gill I recommend everyone read Every Heart a Doorway even if it doesn’t win the poll. It’s a beautifully written story and is incredibly short.

Good to know - it's been on my TBRs for a while. I like the author's adult books.

I totally agree with this! I only didn't vote for it cause I've already read it. I really want to read Queens of Geek soon, so I figured I'd vote for it :)

Matthew Stefan Okay Perks of Being a Wallflower is incredible, but having just read it this past month, I have to go with Every Heart a Doorway.

It isn't a book about an LGBTQ main character, but it contains important characters Patrick and Brad, who are, and addresses some relevant issues. We don't require books to have the MC be LGBTQ here, just to have enough LGBTQ content/characters for that to be an important piece of the story.
