I love Monsters of Men, but it part of a definite trilogy. I don't believe that it can stand alone unlike The Conspiracy of the King.

I read all four Queen's Thief books in a row, so I don't know if Conspiracy stands alone. I do know that the voice was totally different than the other three books, but I'd have to re-read it. I don't think that's a Printz criteria though...
