I read both Avempartha last month and LOVED it!! What a great read. Also - I think for those who have not read Crown you'll still be able to read Avempartha - it is a free ebook right now and I have several friends that just finished reading it and they had no problem starting with book 2 - and 2 of them are going back to read book 1 because they liked them so much!
