Hard choice between Vampire Academy and Hunger Games. Hunger Games won out in the end though.
Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy, but Divergent comes as a close second.
The Ancient Future series by Traci Harding, followed by all the series' by Traci Harding!

My favorite is J D Robb's In Death series.
How am I supposed to pick one when I like at least a third of the series above???? Answer: impossible.
I have 2 favorites: "In Death" by J D Robb and "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon -- Opps, make that 3...Harry Potter, too.

I have read both Vampire Academy and Cassandra Palmer. Even though Vampire Academy is one of the best, and it's even greater than Hunger Games(no offense) Cassandra Palmer has the humour which VA lacks and it's very entertaining I recommend it :P
