I'm blind... I couldn't see who anyone was, so I had to write in Dean Koontz. He really is my favorite anyway :)
Angie wrote: "I'm blind... I couldn't see who anyone was, so I had to write in Dean Koontz. He really is my favorite anyway :)"" no problem hon, he wasnt there anyway....well i read about him many say he is a very good one, i thought about reading books from him, would u recommend him?

It's more of a romantic suspense and is my favorite book by him. Since high school, I think I've read it about 6 or 7 times!
Maureen wrote: "I loved reading Watchers by Dean Koontz - I read it twice -"Another great Koontz book! :)

but yeah all the authors who were there from the beginning are my favorite authors :)and yeah sicne I had to choose one I chose Karin slaughter as she is my favorite of my favorites :)
C.N. wrote: "Not enough choices." well u can only choose one i don't like that fact and i don't know why GR doesn't allow multiple choices or do u mean there are not enough authors on the list? well u can add ur favorite author u know?
GUUUYZ don't add authors who are already on the list pleaaase delete them and vote vor the author when he is already on the list so we don't have some authors more than once on the list LOL please
Fyodor Dostoevsky. He wrote the saddest, most violent, most heart rending prose, and yet he was still an amazing humorist, often simultaneously. In that way he resembled Gogol.
Dania wrote: "why paulo coelho is 3 time in option."yeah i ask myself that as well seems like ppl dont look at the poll and just add their favorite tsts :)
Roald Dahl. He was an amazing children's book and adult short story writer. My favorite short stories are "Lamb to the Slaughter" and "Parson's Pleasure". Dark humor at its best.
Its hard to choose among the authors because they have distinct writing style and different genres. But for romance, I love Nicholas Sparks's novels so much!
I probably love Brandon Sanderson's books and CC's books and other people's books better than John Greens (though I love his books) but I like John the most as a person therefore he is my favorite author and I feel like I should support him.
Tahar Ben Jelloun, Leon Uris, Len Deighton, Graham Green, Miguel de Cervantes, , Jack London, Robert Ludlum. Ken Follet, Tom Clancy, Karl von Clausewitz, Yukio Mashima, Milan Kundera, Norman Mailer, V.S Naipaul, Naghib Mahfuz....
So many excellent authors from which to choose - heading my list are Wally Lamb, William Trevor, Irene Nemivrosky (Elegance of the Hedgehog) and John Irving for A Prayer for Owen Meany.
My favorite classical author would have to be Theodore Dreiser. Many classical authors, especially back then, for me, were hard to understand.
But with Theodore's writing, it's all clear and I enjoy reading his work. So he's one of my favorite classical writers.
Colin Meloy is also a great writer.
I don't think his writing itself is the best i've ever seen, although it's still good nonetheless.
I think the yarn he can spin into a huge book is just incredible. So I love his stories themselves the most. He's also one of my faves.
Kiersten White is also a really good writer.
The person who added "here's a couple": please note "here's" refers to the singular. Break it down to see it is an abbreviation of "here is". The plural verb tense is "here ARE a couple".
