W.Homendro Singh asked Vitthal Jadhav:

Whether Sutras & Upasutras of Vedic Mathematics are available in Atharva Veda?

Vitthal Jadhav Frankly speaking, I had not studied Atharva veda,
But from various discussion, it seems that people manipulating the source of
Vedic math sutra. Now if one look for exact sutra of Vedic in Atharva Veda
then one may not found it. Also BKT (Bharati Krishna Tirtha) never said that
it found sutra's in Atharva Veda - refer prologue of book BKT's
Vedic Mathematics in which author says
"Veda means store house of knowledge, so in that context extension to
that knowledge should be included or considered as part of Veda's
& he given names to book as Vedic Mathematics (this is one possibility) -
but what is actual truth ? only BKT knows."
I think its possible that Bharati Krishna Tirthaji got insight or clue about
Vedic math sutra from Atharva & other Veda.
Because he had studied Vedas including other subject like philosophy, sinskrit,
Modern mathematics etc.
Vedic math is result of research carried out by BKT during 1911 to 1918.

In mathematics, one problem can be solved by different way
i.e. we can arrive to solution by different approaches.
Similarly its possible that one can comes to Vedic math sutra's
& invent methods of Vedic math by studying modern math
as well as ancient mathematics..
Also India had contributed zeroes & many other original mathematics concept to world, Ancient Indian were expert in mathematics & hence many ancient Indians book
like Atharva Veda etc contains mathematical knowledge.
What is exact truth ? that knows only BKT.
In short - Exact - 'sutra's & Upsutra's of Vedic math'
doesn't found in Atharva Veda but
to arrive to the Sutra's & Upsutra's of VM
BKT might got clue from Atharva Veda..
To know exact truth - you have to study by yourself..
