Hi there!
Here are my best ideas for becoming a "good" author:
*Write a lot. Practice, practice, practice
*Read a lot
*Finish your books/stories. You learn the most by writing all the way to the end, even if you end up not liking the story
*Seek critical feedback from objective people
*Read articles online about the craft of writing, try reading several a week
*Write your first drafts without judgement. Just go, go, go!
*Once completed, let your first draft rest for a few weeks and then come back to it with fresh eyes
*Then revise, revise, revise! No draft is sacred. Often the best writing is rewriting
*Don't get hung up on each story. Finish it, let it rest, work on revisions, and move on to the next story
*If you don't know what to write about, write the type of book you like to read
*Be you, do you, write you!
*And be brave. It takes courage to write, finish, revise, and then submit a book to readers
I hope this list helps! Best of luck with your writing, Jennifer

Hi! I wanted to let you know that me and my friends absolutely LOVE your Guardian Herd series! I have loved writing since I was little, and I am currently writing one. Any advice? I have to say my favorite character in the book is Dewberry, (she reminds me of me! Haha! ) Out of all 4 books in the series, which was the most fun to write? Thank you!!!! ~Sydney
