I read 'Corner' because of the Internment. I kept thinking, "When is he going to describe it in more detail?" I often share book thoughts with family, and I told them it was well written but missing what I expected to find. When I came to the author's note, it made things more clear. Tough question.. how can you refrain from bias? It's your right to be hurt and angry. Would you ever tell Keiko's perspective?

Occasionally I'm asked if I'd ever write a sequel. And honestly, I never will, because I could only screw it up at this point. But...I have considered writing Keiko's story, and about her life after the war. I think about that a lot.
So, perhaps one of these days.

Thanks for responding. Nice to correspond with a published author. I am in process of writing MT based historical novel about Native male who ends up at MT state prison where I used to work as a clinician. I'll look for the anthology. Did your wife attend High School there? This site won't accept statements only so have to ask a question!

I worked at the men's prison in Deer Lodge providing mental health services. I graduated from GFHS in 1965, the largest graduating class in MT history as CMR opened the next year. My question is once my manuscript is complete shall I pursue publishing through an agent or self publish? Any opinions?
