Did you travel to all of the places mentioned in Across the Way, or did you do extensive research? I loved the whole concept of following your dreams and finding a sense of adventure, and I loved the places you focused on for Marie's journey!

Amy K. McClung There were a couple of places that were personal experiences. For instance, Ludington Michigan (Where Brady is from) is a small town where some of my dad's family is from so I've been there once or twice. Disney is one of my favorite vacation spots so I had to include it. Two years ago I went to Myrtle Beach for the first time so I included that one as well. Mostly it was a lot of research with a few personal vacation spots added in. I would LOVE to do a trip like Marie's. After writing the book, I want to make it happen one day.
