Well, my parents were lucky enough to attend a class (classes?) of Martin Duberman's at Lehman College, in Da Bronx, New York. Wish I coulda been there with 'em.

Also, I cracked up when I saw the title of your book, "Part the Hawser, Limn the Sea" (now on my "to-read" list)...one of the first things that I knew about (the notorious?) Michiko Kakutani was that, according to one critic of her criticism, she used the word "limn" too much! LOL! Be well.
