Ahhh inspiration.
When an idea of a topic comes to me to write about. I usually fight it and push it away. IF it fights back, I finally give in. My latest book is a picture book. I NEVER wanted to write a picture book.
But little Farkle Shark and big sister Sparkle Shark kept pushing their way into my mind.
One night, I got up at 3 AM, went to my computer and wrote a rough draft. The next morning, it looked pretty good so I pursued it.
Recently, those darned little sharks came to me again in the middle of the night, so I'm writing another picture book.
But after that, I'm done. No matter how much they fight me, there is another idea fighting even more, so that is the idea or inspiration I plan to follow.
