I won a copy through a GoodReads giveaway and could not believe it is your debut adult novel. Please write more! :) Do you get connected to your characters? When you're done writing about them, do you "miss" them? Feel their lives still on your heart?

Thank you, April, for these kind comments about the book. I do absolutely become connected to the characters while writing. I still have a very clear sense of them as people all these years later. Part of that, I think, is because the characters already relate to sides of the writer's own self or experience, which is what draws you to write about them in the first place. It's one of the things I love about writing, actually.

I just finished House At The Edge of Night-and I absolutely adored it. I read it for a Cultural Challenge in one of the GR Groups and there is a debate whether the island in the book is fictional or real. Hoping you can clear this up! Also, what are you currently working on? Your writing was exquisite, and I am hoping for more.

I read this wonderful book and have suggested to my book club. I would be so honored to have this book for my personal library. You, in my opinion , have written such a beautiful story of three generations of family on an island in the Mediterranean Sea. My parents came from an island in the Med, and as I read this it simply brought me back to when my parents spoke of this wonderful magical place where they lived ?
