How do you get inspired to write?

Kat Caldwell I used to go by inspiration or having the perfect atmosphere, now I realize that treating writing like work is best. Set the timer and don't get up until it goes off. Perhaps I will end up deleting most of what I write, but at least I wrote something! To me, that is the most important. For the book I have coming out in just a few months I ended up deleting half of it! I wrote so much, but it was such a great learning process. The first, second, third drafts are not perfect.
