Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Joyce Wheeler My most recent book, Goodbye, Belvidere (I much love you) is the last book of the Goodbye, Belvidere trilogy. The idea for the trilogy happened after I finished the contemporary fiction story of Laughter in the Wind. I decided to try writing a historical fiction, and where better than my childhood haunt of Belvidere. I wanted an impartial bystander to be the main character as he observed the open range, and then the influx of homesteaders, the turbulent years of droughts, WWI, and finally, the depression years.
