How do you come up with the places for each book you've written so far? Also I loved DI Rowan Jackman & DS Maria Evans series so far (read both books). About to start DI Nikki Galena & DS Joe Easter series

Most of the fictional places are based on real spots around where I live in the Fenlands. The names are are also a mix of villages close by. The massive fen fields and seemingly never-ending droves, (Lincolnshire name for the long lanes between acres of arable fields), the waterways and the huge sky are very real indeed.

Hello Joy: I thoroughly enjoyed your book "The Murderer's Son" which I just finished on Audible. I do have a question that I was hoping you might comment on? The story begins with discovery of the farmer's body, the first murder victim. Then there does does not appear to be another reference to this character. Progressing through the book, the "murder count" seems to totally ignore this poor man.
