Goodreads asked Janet Gogerty:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Janet Gogerty An in-law disappeared for a couple of decades, but was found when the internet caught up with him. We arranged to meet on neutral territory in front of the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London, on a Saturday morning; a place thronging with people, but anonymous. I spotted him in seconds, we were observing him from the terrace and he was leaning on the railing by the river. But if he had suddenly changed his mind and ran could we have caught up with him? In reality we all had a cup of tea, but a chase and search could have taken us up on the bridges, on the Millenium Wheel... I have used that part of London for mystery meetings in novels and short stories.
