I am the daughter, step-daughter, grand-daughter, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, great-niece, aunt and cousin to alcoholics. I have been surrounding by alcohol my whole life. But nothing affected me more than when my younger brother became an alcoholic. Adding sister to the long list that follows my name.
In 2005, this had become such a crazy, out of control story that I started taking notes. I didn't think anyone would believe this could happen from "just alcohol." I told my brother at the time I was going to write a movie about his life.
Fast forward to 2009, still struggling with his addiction he made me swear that I would continue writing. He promised me it would have a happy ending, and I promised him that I would tell our powerful story.
