There was a girl I knew in Mazatlan when I was a little girl. We were best friends. She got scarlet fever and left school for a long time. I often wonder where she is and what ever became of her. But how would I ever find her?

As an adoptee who reunited with birth parents, I really appreciate how well you provided insight into each characters challenges and overall angst with an almost indescribably emotional and entrenching event.
