I live in an over 55 park in Florida and recently a neighbor died and no one knew it five days. His dog never barked so no one knew there was anything wrong. He was 55, so not elderly, but I never found out what he died from. Of course I do have a plot in mind, and I might use this for my Libby the Psychic Dog character to solve.
