Goodreads asked Joy Mosby:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Joy Mosby When I don’t know where I am going with a story, or my outline is not as detailed as it should be and I don’t know where to turn I get my journal out. Writing my problems and ideas out long hand get me where I need to go. Sometimes I vent about what I am writing about (when I don’t like what I have written). Other times I will come up with possible solutions to whatever problem I am having.

If all else fails and I can’t find the motivation to break through my block I will work on something completely different. Give my mind a break from the problems I am having, that might be working on a different story, picking up the book I am currently reading, or worse case scenario clean my house. I have to be really stuck to want to clean the house.
