How do you get inspired to write?

Ken Hinkley I get story ideas from many sources. Some are from life experiences, but most are simply by observing what is happening around me. For example, a short story i wrote centered on the hilarious things that happen in a grocery store, such as accidentally knocking over a display by trying to be nice and get out of the way of someone else.
