Tori Young asked Melanie Dickerson:

Guten Tag! I love your books almost as much as I love Gabehart Gerstenberg . That's a lot, believe me ;) Anyway I was just wondering why you chose to do such similar books in different series? Like your Medieval series is very similar to the Hageheim series. Yes they are in different regions and times, but why did you choose to not include all the tales in the same series?

Melanie Dickerson Hi, Victoria. When I started the Thornbeck/Medieval Fairy Tale series, I wanted to start a new series that would have slightly older main characters and would be about a completely different set of characters. In the new series, each book is a mash-up of two well-known tales, not always fairy tales. For example, The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest is Robin Hood and Swan Lake. Robin Hood is a legend and Swan Lake was a ballet.
Meanwhile, the Hagenheim/Fairy Tale Romance series is still ongoing. I have a story with Kirstyn and one with Wolfgang coming up.
