When and how did you come up with the idea of Nyxia? ( Your book was flippin' awesome)
Scott Reintgen
Thanks so much, Lauren. This book started with the idea of teens from all around the world putting on a black mask, taking fifty steps outside their houses, and appearing in a school in space. That idea... didn't make sense! But the masks stuck, so did the global competition. I sat down and wrote the first scene that's currently in the book (the one scene that never changed in any editorial process). At the time, I was teaching, too. So Emmett was written for my students who wanted to read a really entertaining book AND see characters that looked and talked like them going into space. Thanks for the question!

I absolutely loved the Nyxia Triad and I wish I could reread them for the first time again! You wrote the books so wonderfully and I was wondering have you ever thought about turning them maybe into a movie series or even a TV show? I do know that making books into something for the screen is very hard but I think these books would look absolutely amazing on the big screen!!

I saw you speak on a panel at the Young Adult Writer's festival in Chattanooga last year and really enjoyed hearing you. As a result, I read your Nyxia books and loved them (so did my daughter)! Can't wait for your next series. What would be your prediction of how things will go when the Imago and Genesis land on earth?

Hey Mr Reintgen, My question is, I often get discouraged reading the work of other authors (such as yourself) because I realize that my own will likely never be as good. Did you ever feel this way while writing? And, if so, how did you overcome it? Also, had you written/published anything else prior to Nyxia? Thank you so much for taking the time to acknowledge your readers. It really means so much. God bless!
