My favorite thing about being a writer is that I can work at home, on my own time. That means when I need to think out a difficult paragraph, I can get up from my computer, collect a dog or two if necessary, and go outside to listen to the meadowlarks and watch the buffalo grass grow. I come back to my basement study 15 minutes or a half hour later refreshed and ready to write more.
