Goodreads asked L.A. Chandlar:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

L.A. Chandlar Keep writing. Don't look around too much at others' success. We hear too often about the "lottery winners" who find success quick n easy, and it can be utterly paralyzing. Keep writing, don't give up, your voice is unique, keep growing and learning. Even when life is complicated - it's always complicated - find ways to write even if it's just a few minutes a day or a few hours a week. Your work will create appetite for more - and your work compounds. DO NOT WAIT to start writing. Don't wait for that imaginary 10 week beach retreat to write your novel. It won't happen. Do it now and stay strong. The biggest successes happened after long toil that deepened their writing - and deepened their souls. And it was worth it.
