How do you get inspired to write?

Nancy Farkas I am an insomniac: I had an empty nest and a story to tell. Researching for and writing a novel is a much more productive middle-of-the-night pastime than the things I had been doing (playing the thankless four-suit spider solitaire or doing kakuro puzzles). The more research I did, the more I wanted to get my story out. I wanted to inspire people to love the films, music, and places I love, but more importantly, to follow their dreams.
