Was is hard to see the film company change A Dog's Purpose so much? Ellie didn't die in your book! And Ethan did, as an older man. "My boy was dying." That was the most powerful thing Bailey said.......it left an impression. What a masterpiece you wrote, Bruce.

Well, Ellie becomes Buddy, though. She just doesn't get shot to death. Thank you for your kind words. Movies are a different medium, and no movie ever can capture the entire book. One of the most faithful adaptations I've ever seen is The Martian, and yet they cut hunks out of the book when they made the movie. So: you just have to get used to that being how it works.

I just finished A Dog's Journey and wanted to tell you how much I absolutely adored both of these books. I am anxiously awaiting A Dog's Way Home. And I'm having my husband read Purpose/Journey in the meantime. Big fans, here! Thank you for the smiles and tears... all worthwhile while imagining my dogs in heaven waiting for me after having had fulfilled their purpose for my life! Did you intend to make people cry so??

Hi! I would like to ask you something. I just love the Lilly to the rescue series, and you have so many books in that series, so I think you should make it into a TV series! Hope you like the suggestion. One more thing, are you going to make a dogs courage into a movie?
