Goodreads asked Jon Finkel:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jon Finkel This is such a popular question and my answer is, it really doesn't exist. Write something else. Write something crappy. OR... Just get up and walk away for a few hours. Most deadline writers who make their living writing have zero time for writer's block because their editors have zero interest in it and if you say you have it you get paid exactly that: zero.

So suck it up and keep writing. Sorry, that's the truth. Sometimes you gotta write through the bad stuff to get to the good. It's not like anyone sits down every day to write and immediately rips off Hemingway-level prose... Hell, even Hemingway didn't do that.
