Martha Hall Kelly:
I read and reviewed Lilac Girls sometime last year. It is one of my favorite books and have recommended it to so many of my friends to read. What is the name of the house in Connecticut where Caroline lived? I would love to visit it. I can't wait to read the prequel you are writing. If you have the ability to send my an ARC I would definitely review it for you on Goodreads and Amazon. Thanks, Marilyn

Thank you, Marilyn for spreading the word--I really appreciate it. I have a way to go before the first prequel is real in ARC form but contact me again this winter and I will make sure you get one!

I loved Lilac Girls and I'm glad to hear there's another book on the way! My debut novel, Kelegeen, was released on March 1, 2018. I'm with a small publisher so I have to do most of the marketing myself. I've just begun research for the sequel, but finding little time for it with all the marketing obligations. Any suggestions for balancing the two while also working a 9-5 day job?

My church book club will be reading Lilac Girls this year. I loved the extra information (lost pictures of Caroline Ferriday, etc.). I can't wait to share those with the group. Do you have any additional information I could share about that book? I have recommended the book to everyone who asks me what I read or what one of my favorite books is. Thank you for your wonderful gift of writing!

Hi Martha, Just a couple of lingering questions for you now that I've finished your good read. 1) One of my favorite parts was of the workman (Mr. Window Maker) that would sing the current news to the girls at the camp in French. Was this true? 2) You write there were Chinese in the camps. What did you find as reasons for their imprisonment? 3) Is the overfilling of a champagne glass truly a French thing?
