This seems like a flippant answer but the truth is that my favorite part of writing is whatever I've just finished and my least favorite is whatever I'm doing now. I have a very annoying habit of being convinced things were easier yesterday.
I will say, however, that the "idea" part of the process -- coming up with a setting and characters and storyline and themes before ever putting pen to paper -- that is a time when writing is pure joy. I truly mean that.

I just ordered Evelyn Hugo to read on the beach in a few weeks. I always tell myself, "Buy Ms. Reid's books and wait to read them." Then I read them and think, "Why did I wait so long?!" I realize that a new book has just come out, do you have something else that you're writing? When can we expect that?
