What are you currently working on?

Caroline Leavitt I sold another novel to Algonquin based on the first 70 pages. Now I have to write the rest, which is scary and thrilling both.

The characters came so alive to me, I felt like I knew them. How do you manage to accomplish this without becoming long winded and boring? I've read many other books where too many character details made the book dull. How much detail is enough?
