How do you get inspired to write?

E.S. Furlán It's tricky to pinpoint what inspires writing - no single action or set of actions guarantees inspiration. I like painting though, so often when I paint, I notice little details in the painting that triggers a sequence I get excited to pursue in print. I'm quite visual so well-shot, atmospheric photos are often a good bet. I also like to do automatic writing just to work out any stiffness in my fingers or in my mind.
