Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Alex L. Michaels I think that one day I just really, really wished to be on a tropical island. And I have never been to one. And I could see those two characters: a little bit haughty, a little bit socially awkward, romance novel author with a writer's block - the heroine Jessica; and Mike - the hero to root for, who actually looks as if he stepped from the cover of one of her novels. He is charming, sexy, roguish and a bit of a mystery. An alpha male and a gentleman.
